Eight months before the participants cross the start line in Andermatt on 7 September 2024, all four tours of the Swiss Cycling Alpenbrevet are sold out.<\/p>\n
The Platintour \u2013 the queen stage of the Alpenbrevet with 7,000 metres of altitude difference spread over 5 passes \u2013 was sold out just three weeks after registration opened last September. And so it went on. One after the other, the Silber, Bronze and, as of today, the Goldtour were sold out. \u201cThe fact that we were able to allocate the 3,250 starting places in record time makes me very proud and confirms the work the whole team has done over the past few years,\u201d says Patrick Huber, Alpenbrevet Brand Manager.<\/p>\n
Picturesque routes in the heart of the Swiss Alps
\nThe Swiss Cycling Alpenbrevet, which is organised as a ride without a ranking, scores highly with participants thanks to its unique route over the most beautiful Alpine passes in Switzerland. \u201cWe would also like to take this opportunity to thank our destination partners Andermatt and Ulrichen in Obergoms,\u201d says Patrick Huber. The two villages are not only ideally located for the Alpenbrevet, but also offer the perfect starting point for unique cycling tours throughout the summer.<\/p>\n
Cycling, and road cycling in particular, is on a high. \u201cIn recent years, we\u2019ve seen the Alpenbrevet selling out earlier and earlier,\u201d says Brand Manager Huber. A completely sold-out event eight months before the start also shows a strong bond between the community and the event. Patrick Huber is therefore convinced that the Alpenbrevet is more than just a cycling event: \u201cWe want to create memories and emotions that will stay with the participants for a lifetime\u201d.<\/p>\n
Europe\u2019s most beautiful cycling marathon should remain as successful in the future. To achieve this, the organisers at Cycling Unlimited want to hold on to the origins of the traditional event and still strive for targeted further developments. \u201cThe Alpenbrevet is and will remain a cycling marathon. But we want to move with the times and try out new ways to continue inspiring the cycling family for our event,\u201d says Olivier Senn, Co-CEO of Cycling Unlimited AG.<\/p>\n
The entire organisation team would like to thank the registered participants for their trust and enthusiasm for the Swiss Cycling Alpenbrevet. \u201cWe look forward to seeing many smiling faces in Andermatt and celebrating a cycling festival together,\u201d says Patrick Huber. We would also like to thank the official authorities and the cantonal police, who are supporting us and making the Alpenbrevet possible in the first place.<\/p>\n
